Jedes Jahr im Maerz, wenn in Melbourne ein angenehmes Herbstwetter herrscht, gibt sich die Formel 1 bei uns die Ehre. Formel 1, das steht fuer Glamour, Technik auf dem neuesten Stand und akkribisches Teamwork, und das Alles im Albert Park, Melbourne!


Dieses Ereignis kann und darf man sich nicht entgehen lassen, es ist der Hoehepunkt des Motorsports in Australien. Und wo waere dies besser aufgehoben als in Melbourne, der Hauptstadt des Sports und Austragungsort zahlreicher kultureller Events?!

2010 ist natuerlich auch das Jahr der Rueckkehr des deutschen Piloten Michael Schumacher zurueck in die Formel 1 und zureuck auf die Rennstrecke nach Melbourne.

Waerend dieses Events herrscht eine ganz besonders enthusiatische Stimmung in der Stadt, sehr speziell und anders als bei den weiteren Grossveranstaltungen wie den Australian Open oder dem Melbourne Cup in Flemington.

Der Albert Park - normaler Weise ein Ort der Entspannung, wo man die frische Luft geniesst, einer vielzahl von Sportarten nachgeht, wo man den Rest des Jahres seegelt oder den Hund spazieren fuehrt – verwandelt sich waehrend der Rennwoche in einen Hochgeschwindigkeitsparcours mit Spitzengeschwindigkeiten von ueber 300 km/h. Rund um den 5,3 Kilometer langen Parcours um den kuenstlich angelegten Albert See werden extra fuer dieses Rennen riesige Tribuenen aufgebaut. Weiter sind besondere Lichtanlagen notwendig, da das Rennen erst um 17 Uhr Ortszeit startet und bis in den Sonnenuntergang hinein andauert.

Extra fuer dieses Rennen werden nahgelegene Apartments angemietet, von deren Dachtereassen und Balkonen man atemberaubende Ausblicke auf die Strecke hat. Der Sound der Motoren ist noch in 10 km Entfernung zu hoeren, am lautesten ist es jedoch fuer die eigentlichen Einwohner des Albert Park, die beruehmten schwarzen Schwaene.

Viele Besucher der Formel 1 verbinden ihren Aufenthalt natuerlich mit einem Besuch der aufregenden Innenstadt Melbournes. So herrscht in Bars und Cafes, im Shopping Viertel und im Geschaftesviertel ein besonders buntes Treiben wahrend dieses Events.
Das Rennen der Formel 1 ist jedoch bei Weitem nicht das einzige (Renn)Ereignis im Albert Park waehrend der Rennwoche. Es finden noch viele weitere Rennen statt wie zum Beispiel das der V8 Supercars (wo es zu einem Aufeinandertreffen der Austrlischen Automarke Holden mit Ford kommt) oder das Rennen der Formel 5000. Weiter kann man auf diversen Autoaustellungen die neuesten Modelle der Luxusmarken Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lotus oder Mini bestaunen.

Das kulturelle Rahmenprogramm besteht wie immer aus Auftritten bekannter und legendaerer Rockbands, in der Bar an der ‘Pit Straight’ laesst man es sich ebenfalls gut gehen.

Wer waehrend dieses Trubels ruhige und entspannte Momente sucht, dem sei ein Besuch des Carlton Gardens in der Innenstadt empfohlen, wo zur gleichen Zeit die internationale Blumen- und Gartenshow viele Besucher anlockt. Weitere aktuelle Festivals sind das L’Oreall Modefest oder das beliebte Food and Wine Festival, welches in diesem Jahr den englischen Starkoch Jamie Oliver als Stargast begruesst, der in der Collins Street das Restaurant “Fifteen” betreibt.

Wer eher auf der Suche nach lustiger Unterhaltung ist, dem sei das Comedy Festival empfohlen, das jedes Jahr von Ende Maerz bis Mitte April in Melbournes schoensten Theatern und Veranstaltungsorten ausgetragen wird.

Ogni Marzo ,per quattro giorni consecutivi quando ,la temperatura autunnale è più piacevole, il Gran Premio Formula 1 - sinonimo di glamour, tecnologia all'avanguardia e meticoloso lavoro di squadra - è celebrato all'Albert Park di Melbourne.


Un evento impossibile da perdere, il gran premio è la più importante gara in Australia, e la città di Melbourne offre ad ogni visitatore un assortimento di eventi culturali e di intrattenimento tali da soddisfare tutte le esigenze.

Il 2010 segna il ritorno dell'acclamato Michael Schumacher al Gran Premio di Australia.

Durante questo evento, intorno a Melbourne si può percepire un entusiasmo molto speciale, molto diverso da quello durante l'Australian Open o la Melbourne Cup all'ippodromo di Flemington.

Albert Park - una zona ricreativa tranquilla, dove la gente va a respirare aria pura, pratica diversi sport, veleggia sul lago artificiale o fa una passeggiata con i suoi cani durante il resto dell'anno – si trasforma in un circuito di gara mozzafiato dove le vetture di Formula 1 raggiungono la velocità fino di 300 km/h. Lungo tutto il circuito 5.3km intorno a un lago artificiale, vengono issate protezioni e tribune ed anche illuminazioni speciali dato che la partenza della gara e’ prevista per le 5 del pomeriggio e continua per un paio di ore, quando la sera comincia a scendere su Albert Park,

Per assistere al GP, c’e la possibilita’di affitare appartamenti residenziali situati vicino alla pista, in modo da poter assistere alla gara dalla comodità di una terrazza, E’possibile ascoltare il rumore dei motori all'interno di un perimetro di 10 km (da lontano, il suono simile a un brusio di zanzara), e chiaramente I piu’ sfortunati residenti di Albert Park ad essere disturbati sono I meravigliosi cigni neri Australiani

Molti turisti colgono l’occasione del GP per visitare al meglio Melbourne, tra un bar e una caffetteria, o fare dello shopping, creando cosi’ una magica atmosfera lungo le strade.

Ma la formula 1 non è l'unica gara all'Albert Park. Durante l'evento, si svolgono anche gare di Supercars V8 (in cui Ford fa concorrenza contro l’australiana Holden) e la corsa di Formula 5000. Inoltre, vengono allestite mostre di auto intorno alla pista, quali Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lotus e Mini Cooper.

E come intrattenimento, durante il Gran Premio vengono organizzati concerti soprattutto rock ( Kiss) e bar presso il 'Pit Straight'.

Per i visitatori alla ricerca di momenti tranquilli e non assordanti, Carlton Gardens, offer la mostra del fiore internazionale , un esposizione ricca di profumi, colori e dove le” orecchie “ possono rilassarsi dal rumore assordante dei motori..

Altri festival intorno a Melbourne includono il Festival di moda L'Oreal e la Food and Wine Festival, che avra’ quale ospite d'onore il popolare chef inglese Jamie Oliver, titolare tra l’altro del ristorante «Quindici» in Collins street.

Per i visitatori che hanno voglia di farsi una sana risata, l'International Comedy Festival offre questa possibilita’ da fine marzo fino a metà aprile nei migliori teatri di Melbourne.

Por cuatro dias en marzo, cuando la temperatura de otoño es de lo mas agradable, se realiza el Gran Premio de Formula 1 en Albert Park, Melbourne, el cual es sinonimo de glamour, tecnologia de punta y un meticuloso trabajo en equipo.


Este es un evento imposible de perderse, ya que ademas de ser la sede de la carrera de autos mas importante de Australia, la ciudad de Melbourne tiene preparada toda una serie de eventos culturales y de entretenimiento para sus visitantes.

2010 marca el regreso del aclamado piloto aleman Michael Schumacher al Gran Premio de Australia.

Durante el evento, en la ciudad se respira un entusiasmo muy especial, diferente a cuando se celebra el Abierto de Tenis de Australia o la Copa Melbourne en el Hipodromo de Flemington.

Albert Park - un tranquilo parque a donde el resto del año la gente va a respirar aire puro, a practicar un sinnumero de deportes, a velear o a pasear a sus perros - se tranforma en un escalofriante circuito automovilistico en donde los autos Formula 1 corren hasta 300 km/hr. A lo largo de su circuito que mide 5.3 km alrededor del lago artificial se colocan las contenciones y las tribunas, asi como iluminacion especial puesto que la carrera dura desde las 5pm hasta la noche.

Los dias de la carrera, muchos apartamentos residenciales aledaños a la pista son rentados para que gente pueda ver la carrera desde la comodidad de una terraza, y el ruido de los motores se puede escuchar hasta 10km. a la redonda (el sonido desde lejos se parece a los zumbidos de los mosquitos). Claro que los mas afectados son los cisnes negros australianos que viven dentro del lago.

En el centro de Melbourne hay muchisimos turistas que aprovechan la ocasion para visitar la ciudad y se les ven en los bares y cafes al igual que haciendo compras, creando un buen ambiente en las calles.

Pero no solo hay Formula 1 en Albert Park, tambien hay carreras de Superautos V8 en las que compiten la marca Ford contra la australiana Holden y la carrera de Formula 5000. Ademas hay exhibiciones de autos Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lotus y Mini alrededor de la pista.

Para los eventos de cultura y entretenimiento, el Gran Premio prepara conciertos de grupos legendarios de Rock ademas de servicios de bar en el area de la recta final y los boxes (pits).

Para los que buscan tambien la tranquilidad y la calidad de vida, en el Parque de los Jardines de Carlton aledaños al centro de Melbourne se celebra la Exhibicion Mundial de Flores y Jardines.

Tambien alrededor del centro se llevan a cabo el Festival de Moda L’oreal y el Festival de Gastronomia y Vino, el cual en 2010 cuenta con la participacion del popular Chef ingles Jamie Oliver, quien es dueño del restaurante ‘Fifteen’ en la Calle Collins.

Para los que quieren reir un poco, tambien a finales de marzo se celebra el Festival Internacional de Comediantes en varios teatros y recintos de Melbourne.

An impossible-to-miss event, the Grand Prix is the most important race in Australia, and the City of Melbourne offers every visitor an assortment of cultural and entertainment events.

During this event, around Melbourne one can feel a very special enthusiasm, quite different than during the Australian Open or the Melbourne Cup at Flemington racecourse.
Albert Park - a peaceful recreational area where people go to breathe fresh air, practice a number of sports, go sailing or take a walk with their dogs during the rest of the year – is transformed into a breathtaking race circuit where Formula 1 cars speed up to 300 km/hr. All along the 5.3 km circuit around a manmade lake, the containments and the tribunes are placed. Special lighting are also needed as the race starts at 5pm and goes on until late at night.

During the races, many residential apartments located close to the track are rented so that people can see the race from the comfort of a terrace, and the noise of the engines can be listened within a 10km. perimeter (from afar, the sound resembles a mosquito buzz), and clearly the most affected residents of Albert Park are the Australian black swans.

In Melbourne’s CBD, many tourists make the best of the event to visit the city and one can them in bars and cafes as well as doing their shopping in the commercial district, always creating a good atmosphere along the streets.
But the Formula 1 is not the only race at Albert Park. During the event there’s also the Supercars V8 race (in which Ford competes against the Australian brand Holden) and the Formula 5000 race. In addition, there are assorted car exhibitions around the track, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lotus and Mini.

As for culture and entertainment events, the Grand Prix organizes concerts of legendary Rock bands and bar at the ‘Pit Straight’.

La prima volta che qualcuno visita Melbourne, alla fine si chiede sempre “ Perche’ non sono rimasto qualche giorno in piu’?”
Melbourne , capitale della moda , dello shopping , della cultura , dello sport offer cosi’ tante opportunita’ che 2 giorni non sono sufficienti per viverla al meglio. Per oltre una decade , una delle piu’ importanti testate giornalistiche “ The economist” ha nominato Melbourne una delle migliori citta’ da vivere al mondo.

Con I suoi parchi spettacolari, I suoi shopping centre, moderni e antichi edifici Vittoriani, hanno permesso a Melbourne di rimanere una delle migliori scoperte nel mondo e uno dei segreti Australiani meglio nascosti.

Con la sua mite temperatura in inverno intorno ai 12 gradi e di 30 gradi in estate , Melbourne si e’ scoperta come meta internazionale per il turismo mondiale , capace di diventare la citta’ piu’ “ trendy” in Australia.

Melbourne, una citta’ cosmopolita, dove si parlano circa 180 lingue, dove si possono trovare 50 diverse “cucine”internazionali, dove giornalmente circa 30 eventi sportivi e culturali si svolgono, e tutto nel suo stile europeo che permette anche di girovagare nei parchi ed osservare diverse tipi di uccelli colorati.

In der Tat, die Australische Mode-, Shopping-, Gastronomie-, Kultur- und Sporthauptstadt Melbourne bietet so viele unglaubliche Erlebnisse und Attraktionen, dass einige wenige Tage meist nicht ausreichen. Und als ob das Alles noch nicht genug waere, so kann man in der unmittelbaren Umgebung der Stadt verschiedene Naturphaenomene wie die Great Ocean Road mit den Zwoelf Aposteln oder die Pinguinparade auf Phillip Island bewundern. Weinliebhaber zieht es ins Yarra Valley mit seinen spaektakulaeren Weinguetern, Kulturliebhaber in die alte Goldgraeberstadt Ballarat.

In diesem Blog werde ich von meinen Erlebnissen in dieser unglaublichen Stadt berichten. Berichte ueber Shopping Viertel, von Kultur- und Kunstzentren, Theatern, Sportveranstaltungen, Restaurants, Bars und Cafes, von historischen Gebaueden, Familienausfluegen, dem Nachtleben und noch vielem mehr. Und dies Alles immer so aufregend wie diese Stadt und die Umgebung hier rund um die Port Phillip Bay!

La primera vez que uno visita la ciudad de Melbourne, termina preguntandose ‘Por que no reserve mas dias aqui?!!’


En efecto, siendo la capital australiana de la moda y las compras, la gastronomia, las artes y los deportes, Melbourne ofrece tal cantidad de experiencias y atracciones que siempre haran falta mas que un par de dias para vivirla. Por casi una decada Melbourne ha sido considerada por la revista ‘The Economist’ una de las ciudades mas vivibles del mundo.

Sus espectaculares parques, zonas comerciales, edificios modernos y la mayor cantidad de vestigios del periodo Victoriano en el mundo, hacen de Melbourne una experienca inolvidable y secreto mejor guardado de Australia.

Con una temperatura promedio de 12°C en invierno y 30°C en verano, Melbourne ha despertado al turismo mundial en los ultimos años como uno de los destinos preferidos y por supuesto la ciudad mas ‘Chic’ de Australia.

Como gran ciudad cosmopolita, en Melbourne se hablan 180 lenguas, hay 50 nacionalidades de restaurantes y por lo menos 30 eventos culturales y deportivos cada dia, sin embargo en sus callejones de sabor europeo se respira tranquilidad y buen humor y en sus parques aledaños al centro se ve una gran cantidad de aves coloridas.

Por si esto fuera poco, en las afueras de Melbourne se puede disfrutar de la Gran Ruta Oceanica y sus famosos ‘Doce Apostoles’, de Philip Island y su simpatico desfile de pinguinos, del Valle del Rio Yarra y sus espectaculares viñedos y tambien del pueblo de Ballarat y su representacion ‘retro’ de la Fiebre del Oro del Siglo XIX.

En este blog tratare de transmitirles la experiencia de visitar esta extraordinaria ciudad, describiendo cada dia un aspecto diferente, ya sea de sus zonas comerciales como de sus museos, teatros y auditorios, sus estadios y complejos deportivos, sus establecimientos gastronomicos y sus edificios y lugares historicos, entretenimiento para niños y grandes, vida nocturna, etc. siempre tratando de hacerlo tan ameno como la visita misma a Melbourne y las espectaculares atracciones del estado de Victoria.

Indeed, as the Australian capital of fashion, shopping, gastronomy, culture and sports Melbourne offers so many experiences and attractions that just a couple of days won’t be enough to fully live it. For almost a decade ‘The Economist’ newspaper has ranked Melbourne as one of the most livable cities in the world.

Its spectacular parks, shopping districts, modern buildings and the largest amount of Victorian buildings in the world comprise Melbourne an unforgettable experience and the best-kept secret of Australia.

With an average temperature of 12°C in winter and 30°C during summer, Melbourne has lately awaken to international tourism as a favorite destination and of course the trendiest city in Australia.

A cosmopolitan city, Melbourne features 180 spoken languages, 50 nationalities of restaurants and at least 30 cultural and sports events every day, however, along the European-style alleys one can feel at ease whereas in the nearby parks one can observe many colored birds.

If all this wasn’t enough, on the outskirts of Melbourne one can enjoy the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles, or Philip Island and the amusing Penguin Parade, or Yarra Valley and its spectacular vineyards, and also the town of Ballarat and its 19th Century Gold Rush attractions.

On this blog I’ll try to transmit my experiences visiting this extraordinary city, describing one aspect at a time, from the shopping districts to the arts and cultural centres, theatres, sports complex, restaurants, bars and cafes, historic buildings, family entertainment, night life, etc. always trying to make it as enjoyable as the visit itself to Melbourne and regional Victoria.
